Gathers to Give Back Benefitting More Than Words

We are excited to announce that the annual Boston Corporate Finance Community (BCFC) Gathers to Give Back event will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the InterContinental Hotel. This is our seventh year gathering as a community to network and celebrate our collaborative accomplishments while raising money for our social enterprise partner More Than Words (MTW). The 2025 BCFC honoree is Bob DeAngelis, Executive Managing Director/Group Head at Tiger Finance LLC, in recognition of his entrepreneurial spirt and long-term contributions to the industry and our community.

Bob has been a highly visible leader in our community for over 35 years.  Prior to joining the Tiger Capital and leading the startup of their lending division Tiger Finance, Bob was part of the ownership and management teams that launched four highly successful lending platforms. The first was a private retail lending platform that was sold to Bank of Boston which later became Bank of America Retail Finance, one of the largest and most successful retail lending platforms in the country. 

 

Since our inaugural event in 2017, our collective action has provided almost $2.0MM in contributions to MTW.  This critical financial support has allowed the organization to serve more young adults in its businesses and also expand the services and resources it provides.

MTW noted in its 2024 Annual Report “We’re going the distance with a more expansive, all-in approach that delivers the full spectrum of supports young people need and deserve to become successful, thriving adults.” 

 

We are so incredibly proud of all that we have accomplished together and know we can continue to make a meaningful impact.  Please join us on Thursday, October 23, at the InterContinental Hotel for a networking cocktail reception to celebrate our community, our partnership with More Than Words, and Bob DeAngelis.
